Typhoon and Life We must admit typhoon is a natural disaster, although it benefits people sometimes (for instance, water supply). Despite this, we people are like typhoons in some sense. You may think typhoons 'move' by themselves, in fact, they are 'forced' to move by factors. These factors include the position and strength of high pressure system or even landscape. Similarly, we are somehow affected or controlled (I don't prefer this word) by factors in our lives. We do encounter difficulties, don't we? Typhoons also face difficulties, which are landmasses such as Taiwan and the Philippines! Typhoons may weaken, but they do struggle to reintensify once they return to sea, just as we struggle to live! We never know where our lives would finally go, when we would make a 'landfall', nor when we would 'dissipate'. What I know is that we shouldn't waste our lives. Seize the day, man! That's how life should be. |
![]() Fig. - Perhaps life should not be counted by length, but whether we have once lived beautifully (I mean meaningfully)! |
